Lakesong Press is a record label dedicated to promoting the music coming out of Calgary, Alberta. It’s as simple as that — one day, we realized that this city has an absurd amount of incredibly talented musicians, and it wouldn’t be fair to keep them hidden within our unnecessarily sprawling municipal boundaries.

We also believe it’s important to have an established aesthetic for the label. If you look at a Lakesong release, you’ll instantly know it’s a Lakesong release, and that we’re confident enough to have it sit alongside our other releases. Nothing we do here is half-assed — every album we put out is going to be amazing.
